The water playground/pool area was beautiful and great for the children.
The customer service at Duke's restaurant was extremely insulting. We will never eat there again. Our dinner there almost ruined the whole stay at the Honui Kai resort.

Very clean and modern. Excellent rooms and amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The location was away from most places on the island which travellers most often go to.

The hotel is beautiful; the rooms are very nice; hotel staff is very courteous and friendly. The fully equipped kitchen was very handy.
Although on leeward side of the island, the grounds and the beach were still very windy.

Krissy at the concierge desk is absolutely fabulous. Her careful planing of my itinerary made my trip awesome. Most of the staff was helpful- a few had don't care attitudes. Shift change for valet cars can cause delays. Park yourself if you are in a hurry. Several broken items in my room. Clothes dryer was maddening as they stop then start up every few minutes for energy conservation. Coffee pot didn't work. Stylish hotel, great location. 7Th floor room had wasp nest on patio. Go figure. Patio, bed and bathroom are lovely. As is the fully stocked kitchen. You must have a car in Maui. Would stay there again, but would prefer the ritz at capalua.

Beautiful resort, lovely room, very quiet and peaceful, gorgeous beach and great location.,
Maybe a bit strict on purchasing food and drinks from the restaurant as there is only one for the whole resort so it's a little confusing whether it's a hotel or condo-tyoe accommodation.

Excellent facilities with lots of space. Pools are fun and great for kids. Beach is gorgeous. Had a ocean view 2 bedroom with more space than we needed. Top grade appliances in the kitchen. Loved the acordian style doors to the balcony oppening the whole room to fresh air.

The unit I stayed in was large and very comfortable, with three large screen TV's and a full kitchen. It could not have been any nicer.
I wasn't wild about all the kids teeming in the pools and spas. But it is really a family vacation place so you have to expect a lot of kids around using the facilities.

The location, location, location.
Although we had paid for daily cleaning, we had to call 3x one day and 2x the room was barely cleaned. Too bad..

Beautiful Hotel
Virtually no amenities, very sterile feel. No one went above and beyond to ensure we experienced any value. Quick to say no when services, amenities not provided and this was often the case.

The unit was immaculately clean, nicely located and tastefully decorated. The water slide was a lot of fun. The burger and Mai Tai at Duke's were super tasty.
The controls on the unit thermostat were inscrutable and the A/C seemed to turn off automatically at night. The desk staff agreed that they could not be easily understood. The "towel card" procedure was a little confusing, but was resolved pretty quickly anyway. The "formal" dining menu at Duke's was not such good value.

It was a very comfortable brand-new condominium with well-appointed equipments, full kitchen, Washer& Dryer, full-open glass door to the balcony.
The Deli has not enough selection of goods and foods. It was unsatisfactory room cleaning for a couple of day.

Everything was new and pretty. I liked that kitchen was well furnishined and the room design was nice. We got complimentary sparkling wine since we were honeymooner.
The worst thing about the hotel was that it was very short of people. Our first room did not have enough hot water for one person to finish the shower. But it took about 3 hours for them to get us into another room. We tried to get help from bell boy to move our luggages but they told us that we need to wait for 5 minutes. We moved by ourselves. Any time I tried to get help from front desk and it took them while to respond. Also I won't blame it to the hotel but it was so windy all the time. It was like we were in middle of storm all evening through out the time of our stay. Our martini glass had a chewing gum stuck to it.
